From their earliest days, children have a natural urge to dance, sing and perform. We nurture this creativity, helping young people to explore and grow their skills.

Who are Northern Arts Factory?

We are qualified dance and drama teachers with 18 years experience in education. We hold enhanced DBS certificates and are trained up to Level 2 Safeguarding. Trusting us with your child is a big leap of faith, please read our biographies and policies at the bottom of the home page and feel free to contact use with any queries.

What do you offer?

  • We run weekly dance and acting classes in the community
  • We also offer school holiday clubs which run between 2-4 days. These are advertised regularly on our Facebook page.

£8 per class
£15 if you attend drama and dance

How long are the classes ?

Do I stay with my child?

We ask that children are dropped off and left with us for the duration of the class. In our experience children develop confidence quicker with their peers if family members are not present.

How do I book?

  1. Get in touch with us via email/phone/enquiry form.
  2. We will send you a registration form to fill out and return.
  3. This will secure a place for your child.
  4. We will send an invoice before classes begin to be paid before the first class.

 

Dance Classes Drama Classes
Classes will not focus on one style of dance but a mixture of genres: streetdance, contemporary and jazz. Classes will cover a range of genres: mime, improvisation, script, musical theatre and devising.
Classes must be booked in half term blocks. Classes must be booked in half term blocks.

Classes will focus on core physical skills: strength, flexibility, stamina and co-ordination. Classes will focus on use of: body language, eye contact, facial expressions, vocal control, stillness, movement and creating character.
Classes will develop expressive skills: musicality, character, presence, projection, confidence and performance. Classes will develop performance skills: solo performance, monologues, duologues, ensemble and full cast performances.

All students will be involved in an annual showcase in a professional performance space.
